ShortsJet is a locally installed video editor. Windows 10/11 (64-bit) or Ubuntu 24.04 LTS (x86-64, X11/XWayland and an unlocked Secret Service keyring). macOS is not currently supported. See the download page for requirements. Please use the trial to check compatibility before buying.

2. Trial and license

The trial lasts 30 days from its first activation on a device. Trial video and image exports include a watermark. After expiry, a purchased license is required to continue using the editor. No payment card is needed; the trial does not renew or charge automatically.

One-time purchase for one active workstation. Personal and commercial use. Includes the current prerelease and permanent use of ShortsJet 1.x. All updates within major version 1 are included. Later major upgrades are optional purchases. The license grants a non-exclusive right to use the software; it does not transfer ownership of the software or permit redistribution of license keys.

Internet access is required for activation, moving to another computer and periodic license checks. After a successful check you can work offline for up to 30 days. License keys activate one workstation at a time. Release the previous workstation before activating another computer.

3. Versions and updates

The introductory purchase covers the current prerelease and major version 1, including all 1.x updates. Later major upgrades are optional purchases. Statutory obligations to provide updates necessary to maintain conformity, including security updates, remain unaffected.

4. Price, order and delivery

The purchase page shows the offered currencies and prices. Applicable taxes and the final payable amount are displayed before payment at Stripe. Only the countries offered on our purchase page are supported. Enter your actual country and accurate billing details.

No customer account or password is required. You submit a binding order using the payment button at Stripe. We accept the order by issuing the license and sending the contract confirmation to your purchase email. The contract language is English. The confirmation contains your entitlement, payment amount, terms and recorded delivery consent for you to retain.

After successful payment, the license and activation instructions are delivered by email. Download at https://shortsjet.com/download. The trial lasts 30 days, includes watermarked exports, and requires a paid license after it expires. Delivery normally follows payment confirmation within a few minutes. If the message does not arrive, check spam and contact support. A delivery problem does not remove your entitlement to a successfully purchased license.

5. Recovery and moving computers

Use Recover your license with your purchase email to receive a private access link. You can request a replacement key or release a workstation. A replacement invalidates the previous key for new activations while preserving an existing permitted activation. Contact support if you no longer have access to the purchase email.

6. Your content and third-party components

You retain the rights to your media and created videos. You must hold the necessary rights for imported content. Supplied open-source licenses apply to the relevant third-party components; their rights are not restricted by this commercial license.

7. Withdrawal and statutory rights

See the Right of Withdrawal for the notice, sample statement and electronic withdrawal function. Immediate delivery requires separate express consent and acknowledgement. The right expires only when all applicable statutory conditions are fulfilled.

Statutory remedies for defective digital content, mandatory consumer protections and statutory liability remain unaffected. There is no blanket exclusion of refunds or liability. A fully refunded purchase no longer grants a paid entitlement. A disputed payment may temporarily suspend access while the payment status is resolved; contact support if you believe this is incorrect.
