A REACTION WITH PURPOSE

Add emoji stickers and reactions to your videos

An emoji can make a reaction immediate, mark a successful step or add a light touch to a spoken joke. ShortsJet gives each sticker its own place and timing, so it supports the footage instead of covering the whole moment.

Use an emoji to express one clear reaction

A sticker works when the viewer understands its relationship to the scene. Place a reaction near the speaker or use a checkmark-like visual after a successful action. Avoid stacking unrelated symbols just to fill empty space.

For a short product demo, try a single positive reaction at the reveal. For an explanation, wait until the surprising fact lands. The timing often contributes more than the size of the sticker.

Keep the important part of the video visible

Add an emoji as a visual element and place it in the preview. Give it enough size to read on a phone, but leave room for the subject and captions. Set its start time and duration on the timeline so it appears with the relevant action.

Separate layers make it possible to show a sticker while the underlying footage changes. That is useful for a brief reaction carried across a cut, but check that it does not accidentally linger into a different topic.

Give a sticker an entrance when it helps

Popup adds a quick entrance to an image element, including an emoji sticker. Adjust the effect duration and preview it with the surrounding footage. A small entrance can call attention to the reaction without requiring a complex animation setup.

You can accompany the moment with a sound effect, but listen against the narration. The sticker should remain understandable with sound muted. The asset credits page documents the included artwork and sounds if you need their attribution details.

How to add an emoji to a video

  1. Pick the reaction point

Play through the clip and stop at the expression, reveal or statement the sticker will support.

  2. Add and place the sticker

Choose a bundled emoji, add it to the timeline and adjust its size and position in the preview.

  3. Set its screen time

Trim the sticker duration. Apply Popup if an entrance helps, check it alongside captions and export your MP4.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to find emoji image files first?

No. ShortsJet includes a selection of emoji stickers. The asset credits page lists the included asset sources and licenses.

Can the emoji appear for only part of a clip?

Yes. Its timeline element has its own start time and duration, independent of the video beneath it.

Can an emoji sticker animate?

You can apply Popup to animate its entrance. This moves the sticker as an image element; it does not add a custom character animation to the artwork itself.
