Choose a voice for your story
Open Overlays → Text to Speech. In Voice Packs, download LibriTTS English or MLS German and select the language you want to use. The app handles the download and installation; there is no separate website download to manage.
Choose a voice, use the voice-type filter or browse More voices to explore the pack. Enter your text, adjust the speech speed and preview the delivery before adding it to the timeline.
Create narration locally and fit it to your edit
Once a voice pack is installed, speech generation runs on your computer. Your script is processed locally. An internet connection is needed to download the voice packs initially.
Add the generated audio to your edit and arrange your pictures around it. The optional Generate captions setting creates text clips from your script with estimated timing. Preview and refine that timing before exporting.
Keep the voice credits with your video
Use Copy voice credits in the Voice Packs tab for the selected pack. ShortsJet also saves a credits text file beside imported narration. Keep those credits with published narration, for example in your video description. The linked credits page lists the voice sources and licence information.

Do I need to download voices from this website?
No. Open Voice Packs inside ShortsJet. The app downloads and installs the selected pack for you.
Does my script go to an online speech service?
No. Speech is generated locally using the installed voice pack. Downloading a new pack requires an internet connection.
Where can I find attribution for the selected voice?
Click Copy voice credits in Voice Packs. The app also saves a credits file beside your generated narration. Include the supplied credits with your published video.
